- What are the anti-terrorism laws?
- What powers do ASIO and the police have?

- Where can I go for help?
Date: Saturday, 12 March 2005
Time: 10.30 am – 1.00 pm
Venue: Cabravale Senior Citizens Centre
McBurney Road, Cabramatta
RSVP: Before Tuesday, 8 March by calling Krishni on 9514 2915, Agnes
on achong@amcran.org or emailing Vissa via vissa@idrs.org.au
Community legal centres are concerned about the negative impact
of the laws on Muslim and other communities and would like to talk
about experiences and concerns.
The good news is that the government is reviewing the
anti-terrorism laws and has asked the public to send in their comments
by 24 March 2005. At this seminar, we will discuss how your community
group or organisation can contribute to the review to protect human
rights.
For more information call Krishni on 9514 2915 at UTS Community Law
Centre, Agnes at achong@amcran.org at AMCRAN or email Vissa via
