Why is it that some Muslim minority communities grow faster than others? Why is it that some are strong on, say, education, while others are stronger on political involvement?
Agnes Chong and Waleed Kadous (founders of the Australian Muslim Civil Rights and Advocacy Network) will share their experiences of living and working with the American Muslim community over the last two years. Agnes became director of one of CAIR's 35 chapters. They will discuss:
This will be followed by a discussion with community leaders about how we can apply the lessons learned in the USA to the Australian context.
